For normal office work, school, browsing, streaming and light creative work, 8GB can be sufficient. However, users working with large video projects, professional graphics or many demanding applications simultaneously may benefit from a MacBook with more memory.
256GB SSD Storage
The 256GB SSD provides fast storage for applications, documents, photos and other files. SSD storage also contributes to fast boot times and quick application loading. Apple notes that the usable capacity is lower than the advertised 256GB because of formatting and macOS.
There is no user-accessible memory or storage upgrade, so choosing the right capacity at purchase is important.

The MacBook Air features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a 2560 × 1664 resolution, 224 pixels per inch and up to 500 nits brightness.
It supports P3 wide colour, True Tone and 1 billion colours, making the screen excellent for browsing, documents, movies, photo editing and general creative work.
Long Battery Life
Apple rates the M2 MacBook Air for up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing or up to 18 hours of Apple TV app movie playback under its testing conditions. Actual battery life varies according to usage, brightness and applications.
The laptop includes MagSafe 3 charging, while the two USB-C/Thunderbolt ports can also be used for charging.
