4K Picture Quality
The 65S20M uses Sony's 4K Processor X1, which is one of its major strengths. It works with 4K X-Reality PRO to upscale lower-resolution content, helping HD television channels, older movies and standard YouTube videos look cleaner on the large 65-inch display. Sony also includes Live Colour and Dynamic Contrast Enhancer.
The TV uses a Direct LED LCD panel, rather than QLED or Mini-LED. Therefore, its main advantage is Sony's image processing rather than quantum-dot technology.
🎬 HDR
The TV supports HDR10 and HLG for compatible content. Sony's official specifications do not list Dolby Vision for this model.
This is worth considering if you're comparing it with the Skyworth 55Q6500H, which supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
📺 Google TV
The 65S20M runs Google TV, giving you access to the Google Play Store and a wide range of streaming applications.

🎮 Gaming
The TV supports ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode), which can automatically switch the television into a low-latency gaming mode. It is also compatible with Sony's PS5-specific features such as Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.
However, it does not have VRR, and the native panel is 60Hz. Therefore, it isn't aimed at high-end 4K/120Hz gaming.
🔊 Sound
Sony gives the TV a 20W 2-channel audio system, using two full-range speakers. It supports Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos, as well as several DTS formats.
The speakers should be sufficient for normal TV viewing, Netflix and YouTube. For movies, however, I'd recommend pairing this 65-inch TV with a soundbar for better bass and a wider soundstage.
