Harman Kardon's sound tuning gives it a warm, full presentation that works well when listening at both moderate and higher volumes.
The built-in automatic self-tuning technology helps optimize the sound according to the speaker's surroundings, allowing it to maintain consistent audio performance when moved between rooms.
Connectivity
The Onyx Studio 9 uses Bluetooth wireless connectivity, making it easy to connect smartphones, tablets and laptops. It is suitable for streaming music from services such as YouTube, Spotify and other compatible applications.

Design and Portability
The speaker has Harman Kardon's distinctive rounded Onyx Studio design, with a sturdy integrated aluminium handle that makes it easier to move around the house. Although it is portable, it is more of a home portable speaker than an outdoor rugged speaker.
It does not have the same type of water-resistant construction you would expect from an outdoor party speaker, so it is better protected from rain and splashes than deliberately exposed to them.
Battery
The built-in rechargeable battery allows you to use the speaker without keeping it connected to a power outlet. Battery performance will depend on volume level and usage, with higher volumes generally consuming more power.
