The POCO M8 features a 6.77-inch Flow AMOLED display with a 2392 × 1080 FHD+ resolution and refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The high refresh rate makes scrolling, animations and compatible games appear smoother than on standard 60Hz displays.
One of its standout features is the 3,200-nit peak brightness, which helps improve visibility when using the phone outdoors. The display also supports a wide colour gamut and 12-bit colour depth, while POCO includes eye-care technologies such as 3840Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland certifications.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Performance
Powering the phone is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, manufactured using a 4nm process. It has an octa-core CPU with speeds of up to 2.4GHz and an Adreno GPU.
With 8GB of RAM, the POCO M8 can comfortably handle everyday multitasking, social media, streaming, browsing and many games. The 256GB UFS 2.2 storage provides plenty of space for applications, photos, videos and documents. The phone also supports expandable storage through a compatible microSD card in supported configurations.
50MP Dual AI Camera
At the rear, the POCO M8 uses a 50MP primary camera accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera. The main sensor has an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus, allowing it to capture detailed photos in good lighting.
For selfies and video calls, there is a 20MP front-facing camera. The camera system is supported by software features designed to improve everyday photography.
Large 5,520mAh Battery
The phone is equipped with a substantial 5,520mAh battery, giving it enough capacity for extended daily use. It supports 45W Turbo Charging, allowing the battery to recharge considerably faster than conventional standard charging.
Another useful feature is 18W reverse wired charging, which allows the POCO M8 to act as a power source for compatible accessories or another device when needed. POCO says the battery is designed to retain more than 80% capacity after 1,600 complete charge cycles under its laboratory testing conditions.
5G Connectivity
The POCO M8 supports 5G, alongside 4G LTE, 3G and 2G networks. This provides faster mobile data speeds where compatible 5G networks are available.
Other connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and an infrared blaster. NFC availability can vary according to region.
Stereo Sound and Dolby Atmos
For entertainment, the POCO M8 features stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. This provides a more immersive sound experience when watching videos, listening to music or playing games. Some listings also specify Hi-Res Audio support.
IP66 Protection
The phone carries an IP66 rating, providing protection against dust and resistance to powerful water jets under controlled laboratory conditions. However, this does not mean the phone should be submerged in water. POCO specifically advises against immersing the device or exposing it to seawater and chlorinated water.
